long beautiful hair
LOL. Anyway, I would be interested in hearing about DeVenture, also. Are they employee or IC?

I don't know who you are....but, I just sent an SOS to OSi to bring attention to your posts here. You are incredibly foolish and immature to come here making such statements and dropping names and phone numbers. I don't know anything about OSI, but I do know that you have really crossed the line here. You are obviously not very bright because of your improper usage of several words in your post...and misspelled words as well.
If you actually do work for OSI, they are going to know who you are once they read your posts and your 'good thing' will come to an end. If I were in management there, I'd fire you on the spot for what you have done here. You are pathetic.
LOL!!! Great reading!! Mentoring program straight to QA at
ewwwwwww!
Too bad they can't lock - sm
The MTs who are going over their commitments out of the system. I have more than 1 account and still am having a hard time. I very rarely have enough work to do my line commitment, much less to go over if I wanted to, which I would never do to another struggling MT.
So now you delete them instead of lock them?
Not being rude, just want to know why this is happening.
Save your timesheet for viewing only and lock it so it can't be edited. nm

Well great!! How long ago was this? nm

GREAT - so as long as the next cut is under 32% we will still be making big bucks, right? nm
.
Sounds great as long as you are a fast learner
Keystrokes must be a great company or landing a a lot of new contracts hiring all of these people.
MDI- TL with red hair
Just to brighten up my team leaders day here, she is the one with red hair, and she is the greatest! I don't think it's always true what they say about red heads (or blondes) !!
Physical Therapy
I have to beg to differ with your last paragraph. I work for a small owned company and I am assigned all of the physical therapists, (speech and one OT is included in this group) and I have no problem making money in this field. As a matter of fact, I asked for part time but the way these PT's talk, I'm almost full time with my line count. I'm sorry you aren't having a good experience, maybe it's just not a properly run situation?
Have you look into Respiratory Therapy? - SM
Yesterday I visit the website of what seems to be a very reputable Online University (located in CA) that offers a variety of degrees in many business and health care fields, including either a AAS or BS in Respiratory Therapy. It really caught my interest. It's hard work, just like getting a nursing degree -- but pay seems to be pretty good. You can start any time - no semesters, will refer you for financial/scholarship aid. All study and tests are done online with the exception of your clinicals, which have to be done in a local hospital, just like with the nursing degrees. I saw that the field also appealed to a lot of men, many of these were military service connected, others worked with advanced EMS after graduation. Seems like a bright light at the end of a dark (MT) tunnel - I'm just a few years short of retirement age - but what the heck - I don't want to retire in dead-end poverty in this MT h****. If you're interested, I'll give you the name of the college - I think it's the only one that gives a 2-year degree in RT - the others all require 4.

pulling my hair out
I have gone bald too from this platform. It really sucks!!! Besides I am tired of working for pennies. 90% ESL and mostly all editing VR. I recently started with them too and I now have my resume out in lots of different places.
Not sure what's so low rent about being a hair
Meow.
I almost threw up when I saw the hair. sM
I still to this day don't know what kind of hair it was, nor do I want to. The keyboard had some kind of nuts or seeds in it and I actually put it in a trash bag and put it in my garage because I was afraid roaches would come out of it or something. Totally disgusting. If they're not going to sanitize the equipment, they should send brand new. I also refused to use whatever headphones they sent because they didn't look new either. I always use my own.
Ever consider going to a cognitive therapy counselor? nm

Clinic notes or physical therapy?
Hello,
Does anyone have suggestions for companies that hire for physical therapy or just general transcription/clinic work? I've tested at several companies and did not score high enough apparently to do acute care, even though I did not leave so many blanks, I thought. My problem was with the actual transcription; passed the other part of tests. Really discouraged right now. TIA--
Just be sure to also get therapy for your cold and thoughtless nature. nm
x
do you mean part time or physical therapy. nm
x
One has red hair, one blonde, 2 brunette, 2 bald,
they are just like the ones from any other company.
Their platform made me want to pull my hair out!! (SM)
I found it relied too much on the mouse. This was back in April. I would consider going back if improvements were made to their platform. Has it gotten any better? You can e-mail me if you'd prefer. TIA
Are there companies that hire for physical or occupational therapy?
nm
agree! and when you point the finger at others? time for therapy.

Putting on Nehru jackets and flowers in my hair
Interesting - my birthday is Saturday and it will be even more interesting to see what this year holds. Even with the economic mess that our country is mired in, it is a blessing for me to wake up every morning, come to work and live to see another day if God wills it. Happy Valentine's Day to all of you and have a good weekend.
Yeah, thinking about it sitting here in my sweats, hair up in a ponytail myself...sm
I must honestly say it is hard to demand respect looking like this. Thanks for making me smile!
It really does take unique people to be able to work while the kids are screaming in the background, the dog is bugging you because he wants to go outside for the hundredth time today, you know you only have one more load of laundry to catch you up for the day, and all the while you have the dictator who thinks it's ok to talk while he stuffs his mouth full of food, or to sit in the lounge where everybody is taking a break and making plans or whatever. Oh well, from the looks of thes print on these sweat pants, I haven't lost my sense of humor anyway. It is hard to be real serious when you are over 40 and running around with pink flames on your clothing, sheeesh!
Great company. I've been recommending this company for a long time.

Webmedx fits that bill, great company, great benefits, great pay and always on time. NM

Great company, great boss, great account!!!nm

No problem :) No matter how long, it is too long for me - I am broke the day after payday. Kids wi
do that to you!
I know that they have worked very hard to make sure that checks are never late and I can say that in the past two years, I have had one problem (2 days late) and in the past 18 months, they have all been on payday and perfect.
I know that there are a lot of hard feelings in MT in general. I also know firsthand (and I am not mgmt) how hard KS has worked to get things going good.
I would not want to walk in an MTSO's shoes for any amount of money, but that's just me. I like to finish my work for the day, forget about work when not working and get paid on payday. I never want the other things that go with mgmt or owning a company of any kind :)
They definitely rip you off with your line count. Figured this out long ago and quit long ago

What really sucks is that I looked for a LONG, long time -sm
before joining DRC - wanted a highly reputable, not-too-big co. that was LOCAL, and that treated its MTs humanely. I'm very happy with DRC & had planned to stay with them permanently.
System great, pay good, everything great, but most managers from old Edix, problems, poor people ski
when you are out of work, you are out of luck. If you are good at brown-nosing, are tough enough to be without any self-esteem, and have maybe money coming into the household on the side in case you tick someone off, then you may succeed, for a little while.
Don't ever ask questions or have problems with anything. Don't ever have a problem. Don't think you will have any control over anything you do, either.
A few 'good' managers remained when I left, but the new ones were all from the old Edix, and were completely into numbers, cared nothing for individual MTs...if there is work, you BETTER be working. If there no work, you will hear nothing, no one will help you.
You are pathetic! I have a great life, loving family, work for a great company.
You might want to fix that.
You really don't have to shout (angry person), but yes you are wrong!!
That is my last word to you!
I will add that getting a great pay check every other Friday from Medware really puts a huge smile on my face.
Oracle is great. Bayscribe is wonderful great line counts.
The trainer at OTI will always answer any questions about the platform and if you have any problems they have already worked them out, so just ask. Good luck!
YOG - Lots of work, great office staff, great money. NM

Loved Alltype! Great management and great accounts.
wah - i miss it there!
Long, long history of not paying...and
similar posts have been made here in the past few months. Everyone thinks they will be different, and then they end up coming back here to warn others that they don't pay.
It's a great company -- lots of work and great pay. sm
Web site is www.mditrans.net. If you need anymore info, feel free to ask.
AXOLOTL - A GREAT COMPANY WITH GREAT INSURANCE
Axolotl has AWESOME, AFFORDABLE insurance. Family plan medical and dental costs a little over $300.00 MONTHLY. They also pay for family plan vision in its entirety. STD, LTD, 401K with match and flex spending account, great PTO and HOLIDAY pay. OH and paid downtime in the case you run out of work, which doesn't happen often!!!
Great pay, great benefits for 11+ years..sm
I've just started with this great company (eMTS). I have 11+ years of experience and I was started at .10 per line as a regular employee, not IC, with a huge sign-on bonus, full benefits, very nice people, and a good account. So far, this is the best experience I've had in my years as a transcriptionist. Unfortunately, I don't believe they're hiring more right now, but you could always check in with them, they're online at eMTS.com. The management seems to really care and they work with you.
Great company, great boss....
I use to work there. The dictators on my account were really good. They use Emdat/Inscribe. Pay on 1st and 15th by direct deposit.
That''s great and I've heard they pay great as well.
I just have heard a lot of adjectives for a few accounts - zinger, killer, impossible, etc., and I sure know I couldn't hack it there. But I'm sure they know what they are getting into when they sign up.
Let me get this straight
I would guess this relates to the post about changing jobs on people without notice. Interesting to me that Heartland had a pitiful reputation here and they at least gave people some notice. I don't think I will be calling Medware. I can't afford for a company to take my job away in less than a week.
Ha! S/B look them straight in the EYE when getting
lied to. I am a good judge of people face-to-face, but I really feel the lying recruiters or HR dept or whomever get away with it a lot easier cause we are not face-to-face. Might make it less painful for them to live with themselves as well. They don't have to see the hurt and horror they cause in our lives. Mind you - I can handle any and all ESLs, etc, and any work type, but its the misrepresentation that burns me. Tell me upfront the garbage I'll be transcribing, and then show me that garbage during my early days - don't lie and deceive me.
Let me see if I got this straight --
1. The recruiter hired you and knew that you hadn't done acute care in a while.
2. The recruiter told you that the account manager would be made aware of this and take the time to train you on acute care.
3. The account manager then rips you a new one and basically fires you.
4. Now, the same recruiter wants you to call this account manager and explain it to her.
Shouldn't the recruiter have done #4 herself and had the account manager call you to apologize? Sorry, but I gotta say forget this company. Take the 4-hour loss on the training as a lesson learned and move on.
I get 6.5 for SR and 10 for straight, but that is not what
xx
GETTING IT STRAIGHT
I finally got the straight scoop on this. My friend said that the recruiter interviewed her initially, followed a few days later, after testing, by a supervisor. She said that both of them were very formal and rather abrupt, not very personable. My friend asked the second caller/supervisor about the situation with the supervisor with the bad behavior causing MTs to quit, which was posted a week or so ago here at mtstars; apparently, this supervisor denied knowing anything about that. However, my friend said that it seemed to her that the supervisor on the phone call was likely the very one that had caused the trouble. My friend declined the position.
No, 4 for VR and 8 for straight but
the biggest part of my work now is VR. I love it myself, just do not want to work fulltime.
Get it straight.
Please be careful when you are in the interview.
Be prepared to lose your job if you are identified and your picture is taken. Those who work at the Q must remember Linda Perdue. Whistle blowers generally do not fare well and this is something you have to deal with before you do the interview. While this is information that the public needs and deserves to know you are placing yourself in harm's way job wise. Write the body of your piece yourself and tell the reporter that you want to see her final copy before it goes to print. Do not sign anything to hold them harmless. Be as generic as you can be .. national companies do not want negative publicity .. remember Brokovitch .. be smart and listen to every word they say to you carefully before you answer and ask them to repeat so that you know what is going on. Maybe you can tape the interview. Good luck to you.
