I LIKE working for a company that puts quality over everything else.

it sounds like you just did not pass the test sm
maybe ask if you can test again and be more carefull next time?
What's the matter? Didn't pass the test?
Can't pass a test, you don't get the job.
No, don't feel bad - I didn't pass the editing test, either, to my shock! ;) nm
nm
I did not pass the test at first so the recruiter says
saying the test was faulty. I know I did not fail that test. I didn't like his attitude, and I told him that I kindly was not interested. I'm not sure I'd spend too much time on this company. There are some other companies out there that are probably better. Maybe try Transcend or Keystrokes. Good luck.
Even funnier! Pass THAT test and work for 7 cpl
x
Just because you couldn't pass the test doesn't mean
there is anything wrong with the company (though there is in this case). I scored high enough on the verbal testing that I didn't have to take the transcription part, so I have no idea how hard the test really was, but I've had some extremely difficult transcription tests in the past. Ones where the sound file was just horrendous and the dictator was ESL on top of it. I haven't flunked one yet, but it makes me wonder what the real dictation is going to be like.
Anyway, count your blessings.
MxSecure...how long does it take for them to contact you after you pass test?
I got an email stating that I passed test and they would contact me....just wondering how long I should expect to wait....THANKS!
LOL! Is IS a very strange company run by very strange people. I have had that
very thought before and it made me laugh to see you refer to it as strange, too. Thank goodness it's not just me!
Good luck Candy!
be thankful you didn't pass
the employer of the year will jerk you around like you wouldn't believe. I have just quit after 6 months of lies, lack of work, implied threats. I have all the memos, IMs, etc. that show exactly what a bunch of liars and cowards they are. They are only interested in India and getting those people trained and on line. Be careful and be very cautious about who you work for.
I think it sounds strange but it is a way to
No telling how far I will go. I know that Florence has been pushing this and she wants me to work with her which I am honored to do. I really hate to say this here but it does look like I am going to be replacing one QA and there are two more. I feel a little uncomfortable but at least I will have a long happy career in QA at OSI. I am very greatful for that.
Sounds strange....
Sounds like one of those crazy people who want to try and attack your computer with a virus....
This sounds very strange to me....sm
I work for Webmedx and have never heard of J&J. The whole thing sounds fishy to me. Any other Webbers out there that can shed a little more light on this?
Thank you for the info. Sounds strange!! nm

so then why did she send the memo?? sounds strange to me. nm
.
Yeah, it seemed strange to me so I didn't do it. Also, they had a 24-hour turnaround time for the
test, not unheard of but seemed strange nonetheless. No free work from me today.
I took a test for a company and my foot pedal would work with the test and I had keep going back
over the dictation time and again to get all the words because I couldnt stop and start it by the foot pedal. What can I do about this.
I was thinking the same thing. I'd definitely pass on this company. nm
I know a company that takes work off edit and doesn't pass
p
There is no written test. Must have been a different company. I took their ortho test sm
and it was easy. You had to know your terminology but it was easy to understand AND I used my foot pedal.
I agree it is a strange company
I just have to add my 2 cents. I have often thought of Amphion as strange also. It is very strange to me that a transcription company thinks it is perfectly acceptable to keep their entire crew on mandatory OT for 5 months, really without much explanation at all. They act like this is normal behavior. The final straw for me is that they have made the choice to keep all the MTs on mandatory OT (an hour a day extra almost every day FT and PT employees) and take on NEW accounts. On the team I work on, they took on a new account last week and kept us all on mandatory OT. They are hiring and training people like crazy, but why would a company choose to keep their loyal staff on OT for 5 months and take on new clients instead of giving the new hires a chance to get in, get trained, help us get caught up first? They are a very organized company though and send out a job status report every morning. It shows the new accounts and all. Do they think we won't notice they are choosing taking on new clients over giving their MTs a much needed break?
They are all about money and will never say no to a client it seems. They do this without explanation to the MTs, an apology, a bonus or anything. They do say thank you for your dedictation and hard work a lot, but quite honestly, that only goes so far. Yes, they do pay us time and a half for OT, but gosh what about living a life. I have a family!
And by the way ... they expect their work to be perfect as well, even while we are overworked. Their QA is very tight!
Yes indeed, strange company! Amphion does have some good qualities, but in my mind the cons outweigh the pros greatly at this point.
Add me to the list of those from Amphion looking for other employment!
Isn't this a rather strange company policy?
It is downright ridiculous, but so is a lot what YOU are putting forward.
Not meant as bashing, rather suggesting.
I didn't take the test! LOL I had to
deal with her on another issue and it put her in an uncomfortable position. She certainly didn't know how to handle it then and her unprofessional claws came out! LOL
I didn't even test for KS rad
I got a call describing the position, then welcome to Keystrokes. So far there's not enough work, I'm begging for more and worried about tiny paycheck. Reserving opinion about company for now.
I had to test but I didn't think it was too bad...
nm
I didn't have to pay to test. sm
only thing so far that might run people off is that there MTs are overseas.
Sorry. I didn't have to take the test. nm
I didn't even get to test, they had an SM
ad, I applied. I have 15 years of exp., CMT to boot. Not a peep from them.
I didn't have to test so I'm not sure...wish I could be of more help!
.
Well, if you didn't take the test it's your loss...sm
they are still the best company to work for. You obviously didn't take into consideration their quarterly bonus info either.
Well, did you tell them you got thrown off and didn't even get to take the test?
x
Now I'm glad I didn't do so well on the test.
.
I didn't have to test and I can't remember if they
called the same day or the next day.
I didn't test because rate was low for me, but
Owner was just using AOL for ISP, so I'm betting they don't have their own website. Is it supposedly their site or a testing site such as mttest.com ??
I do know they are a legit company and phone numbers were on emails so maybe you can call and find out what's up with the test. Good luck! I've actually heard it's a decent place, but I couldn't take that much of a drop in pay, unfortunately.
That test was so easy. If you didn't know
- you shouldn't be an MT. They were very BASIC questions that you learn in Transcription 101.
Thanks! I was surprised I didn't have to test, but that obviously is okay with me. sm
I have seen many positive posts about the company, and I was impressed by the things I was told by the recruiter. Thanks again for the welcome!
I didn't fail the test, but... sm
you would not have failed for blanks. In fact, they told me to use blanks if I needed to when I took it because they would not count off for blanks but would surely count off for an incorrect word or guess. I'm sorry you didn't pass, but don't give up. I think you can retest again in 6 months. I happen to think that Webmedx would be worth another testing because it is a good company.
I took the Ortho test and didn't have a problem with it..
maybe it was a different test than your family members but no trouble here...
They didn't test me; I just had a nice long
chat with their recruiter. Very casual and enjoyable. She is a nice lady, funny, and enthusiastic about transcription. As far as equipment, if you need a Lanier they will rent it to you. They sent me a foot pedal for the internet account I occasionally typed, no rent required on that. I don't know the exact computer requirements but Bayscribe doesn't call for a supercomputer by any means. Hope I have been helpful.
I didn't have any trouble with the test after I got used to the fact sm
that I couldn't use my foot pedal. The first and the third parts were easy, but I couldn't hear a few spots in the second dictation and had to leave blanks, but I guess that was okay because I apparently passed.
Maybe give it another try -- don't let the no foot pedal thing spook you.
Sounds like somebody didn't score too well on their
QA audit!
I don't know what they wanted to know. I didn't take the test. I felt it was invasion of pr

I didn't receive a score but the test was hard.
I'm almost afraid to ask what I got.
Took what I thought was an easy test but no response. Sounds like we're not missing much though.
I agree with the other poster. Where are all the decent companies at?
Honestly, I've been hired by companies that didn't test me.
I did not like those jobs one bit. You start out immediately being stressed because they're out of TAT and desperate for people. The work quality was terrible and I mean worse than any other place I've ever worked. With your CMT credential, I don't think you'd have a problem finding a decent job.
Guess I didn't. Heard back within a day of taking the test, sm
but that was several years ago. Depends on current recruiters, I guess.
Their test didn't involve all that dictation in the past. Wonder why the change? nm

I didn't take a test.
