6 cpl may not be so bad if...

it's all one specialty (OB-GYN) and a limited number of doctors....you could get your speed up (via expansion programs) and actually make more than you would doing one of those crazy California accounts where they ask for a copy to go to Dr. Smith, then you spend 20 minutes trying to figure out which Dr. Smith, just so you don't get reprimanded for leaving blanks. The reason I say this is I used to work for 6 cpl doing a clinic of great doctors where I averaged 350 LPH ($26.25/hour) but left for a job at 7.5 cpl. However, due to the difficulty of this account along with being switched on accounts constantly due to running out of work, I averaged 175 to 200 lines per hour ($13 to $15 per hour). LUCKILY, after 3 weeks my old position was still available and I never looked at a position strictly based on cpl again.

My advice would be to start out very part-time at the 6 cpl position, letting them know that you may be able to work more later one. You should be able to tell after a couple of weeks if you're going to make any money or not.

Good luck.
