Wowee. If I calculate 8 cpl as an average I get that you are doing over 3000 lines per hour. How is that humanly possible?????????????

Asking again about Meditech Magic - sm
Any info on this software?
They might actually use Meditech Magic
instead - either way would like to know some stats. TIA
meditech magic
I worked for KS for a short time, worked on Meditech Magic and found it quite easy to learn. In fact, my supervisor gave us a cheatsheet for Meditech and this was great as it listed steps from getting in to the acct to signing off the report. I could use my own word expanded and agree the spellchecker wasnt great. I was paid report rate so cant say much about line rate.
Meditech magic - SM
Meditech Magic is a DOS-based platform. I know both ExText and Meditech. They are totally different platforms, but I like both for different reasons.
To answer your questions: Meditech is a good platform. There is a learning curve if you have never worked in it because it is not Word-based. However, it gives a good line count and I find I can really go fast in it. If you would like to ask any specific questions, feel free to email me.
Magic or Client? nm

C&P with Meditech Magic
You can C&P into Meditech Magic but will need to reformat your document in Meditech. IT also works with Magic.
Need info on MediTech Magic - sm
Do you like it? Compares to? Cumbersome?
I use Client for one account and Magic for another. sm
On Magic, I average 18 an hour. On Client, I average 21 an hour. That is an average though as some hours are definitely better than others and some days are better than others. I like Magic better because I have used it for many years.
is that like, Puff The Magic Dragon ?

Check out magic yellow (sm)
It's free yellow pages. Look under transcription and there might be companies in your area that you can contact. Not all of us pay to advertise (I'm not hiring employees because I'm just a small company) and you might just find a nice small local company who could use you.
If you're near a large city, look in the phone book. My suggestion is to try a smaller local MTSO rather than go with the larger companies. You'll probably find the working conditions, terms and cpl amount a lot better. :)
Question about Meditech Magic Platform
I have been working for Keystrokes for about a week now and love it. Yesterday, they offered to set me up with a secondary account in case my main account is ever low on work. Currently, I am working in EXText and I love it, but my second account would be in Meditech Magic using a C-phone, which I am purchasing through KS for $100 through 2 installment payments. Is this an easy platform to use? Are the patient demographics already filled on? Does it take a long time to learn? Just thought I would check!
I like Meditech. I am on the Magic version. I use an expander and sm
average 250 LPH, which is good for these tired old fingers.
I like Meditech. It depends on whether Magic or Client. They have both. nm

The upgrades for Meditech Magic make it very, very fast. I love it !

Ewww - I worked on Meditech Magic in a hospital system - sm
unless the platform has improved mightily, it was horrible. There was no word Expander in Meditech and the spellcheck dictionary was very limited. By changing to a Word-based platform, my lines per hour increased about 75 LPH in one whack.
There are two types of Meditech. One is Meditech Magic, which has a blue sm
screen and is like WP5.1. It is a bit cumbersome but not bad once you get used to it.
The other is Meditech Client, which is WONDERFUL. It opens into Word and populates the demographics for you.
Neither are bad once you get used to them. I make great money using Magic and a lot of others complain about it.
