AllType pays by the line
:)
Ask what is a line. I was offered 6 clp for a 42 black character line sm
that seemed to strange, but really it was not so bad. Came out pretty close to a 65 k/s line at 8.5 to 9.
Offered 7.25 cpl for 30 years experience - sm
Your offer sounds like a good deal compared to mine, but neither is what we are worth.
12 yrs experience, offered 8.5 cpl in the last 6 months. :( nm

TTS offered me 6.5 cpl with 20 years' experience
NM
I was offered 8 cpl with 19 years of experience.
I was going to give it a try, but I didn't want to purchase equipment for a job paying 8 cpl. Sorry, but that's way low if you ask me. I think it is a rather small company though.
I have many many years of experience and was offered....
7.5 cpl as employee or 9 cpl for IC. Seemed way too low to me, especially after I was told what the account was like. They seem nice, but nice doesn't pay the bills! Good luck to you!
Me 16 yrs. experience. Offered 7 cents too.

20 years of experience and offered

Offered pay for 6 months experience... any good?
I got offered a position to type some reports in a specialty I have been typing for 6 months. I was offered 7cpl for 65 character line. Does not pay for hard returns, tabs, empty lines, headers, footers are not paid. Spaces between words are.
At my other position I was getting 6cpl including hard returns.
How do I figure out if this new offer is equal or better than what I already had?
Yes, I know neither are high paying. I am new to the industry, only finished my course 7months ago. BUT, this particular specialty is easy for me and I have very high marks with QA.
Any and all advise is welcome. Thanks!
I had applied but they offered 7 cpl for 14 years experience..I said NO...
That's about all I know. I cant remember what kind of work it was either, but I wouldnt do clinic or acute care for that low pay.
Soooo...if those WITH lots of experience are being offered

I was offered less than 7cpl this year with 10+ yrs experience.
Was offered 8-1/4 cpl for experience. They use MT World software. Didn't take the job. nm

I was offered 8 cpl w/years of experience. He wouldn't say if pay would go up if I didn't take

ATSI uses MT-World software. Pay offered was low for experience. nm

Paying for experience is NOT the norm out here. I'm finding newbies getting offered my same 8
s
Fifteen years experience here and also offered 8 cpl as a max at multiple companies. This biz is
going down hill fast. I remember making 10 cpl 10 years ago and that was cheap..Only profession I know that has gone down in wages rather than up. Very sad. If you offered 8 cpl..take it..
I was offered 10 cents/line. I think they pay very well! nm

Anyone get paid per line for QA? I was just offered
3.5 cpl to QA for a company. I have not heard of a being paid by the line for QA, so I dont know what a fair price per line would be. I get 7.5 cpl for ME but I think the difference might be QA do you the blanks and not listen to the whole report. Anyhow, I'm just trying to find out if anyone gets cents per line and how much is fair. Thanks!

I was offered per line, turned them down

I was just offered 7 cents a line too but...
it was a radiology account, not acute care. I believe acute care was quoted as 8.5 cents.
no, I was offered 60% of my line rate sm
which is quite a bit more than 4 cpl. That is what I thought too. Maybe experience has something to do with it? I don't know. That is what I was offered and I am just wondering about the company etc. Anything you can tell me would sure help.
They use MT-World software. I was offered 8 cpl for experience. Benefits are supposed to kick in at

A year ago, I was offered 8 cpl for experience and I needed my own Word 2003. I turned them down. nm

They offered me 9.5 cents a line in August of 2007
I don't think that is very low.
everyone is banned for discussion line rates being offered

Got offered 1.5 cent/line this past week....she said her editors tell her they make good $$....

They use MedRite software, only offered 7-8 cpl on a 70-char. line w/spaces. Supposed to offer

by the line, based on experience nm

I have 11 years experience and am on 9 cents a line
and I'd say 9.5 cents per line is pretty good these days!
Does Webmedx radiology still pays everyone at 7.25 per line regardless of experience?

What do they pay per line for acute care with tons of experience?

Anyone work for Spheris doing VR? Could you share experience, pay, line count etc..
Also, what are the benefits like i.e., medical insurance etc??
What line rate does Medware pay for 28 years experience but no CMT status for an employee, also
is the pay higher for IC?
In my limited jobseeking experience I'm finding I only get to learn line rate after I spend hours
.
I think it depends on experience, account hired for, etc. I was hired at .08 per line sm
but after 90 days went to 0.085 and then 0.09 about 90 days after that. I am now at 0.0925 and have been there a year. I have to point out that the line rate might not be the highest but I can verify my counts, have plenty of work, get paid on time and have a great manager. To me, leaving a bad national and the headaches that went with it was well worth the cut in pay I took. Funny thing is that I took a pretty sizable pay cut but make more money ?!?!
Their line rate was less than my current nat'l rate, even with mucho experience. nm

A line is a line is a line. Doesn't matter if we are talking about radiology or acute care.
1600 is not a fair minimum requirement. Sure you can achieve 1600, it shouldn't be the required minimum.
AllType, Inc.
Anyone familiar with this company? Could find nothing in archives. They have a job ad on job board. Would like to know anything about them before applying or taking tests. TIA.

I had posted below, but I had to make another post in answer to this one. I have been with the company for 2 years now and have never had a problem with being to do more than what I signed on for. As far as tech support, everyone has been extremely helpful to me. I just moved cross country and one of our tech guys was nice enough to set up my computer to be compatible with wireless internet. As far as offshoring, I do not think so. Honestly, you sound a little hostile, so maybe that is why things did not work out for you.

Can anyone tell me about AllType?

Thank you ex-alltyper. I was starting to feel like I was the only one who felt this way. I actually ended up finding another place that provides better. Another complaint would be that they have a tendency to need you when they need you and then when work is low and you ask for more all of a sudden they cannot help you.

I have 5 accounts on 1 system and 2 that I learned in vein on the other as every time I have wanted to work on them during a slow period it is always caught up. I would look somewhere else.
