Yes someone is actually on here defending them. I am appalled at the way people have trashed and continue to trash SS while I have been there for 2 years and can't imagine ever leaving. I have developed relationships with my peers and am very fond of my supervisor; they are all real people (not #'s) who are professionals who care about their quality of work, the patients and ME. And when it comes down to it, that's really all that matters. But it does help that I am paid well and on time and have accounts with which I can actually make some money.

As I have replied to posts previously, if anyone has a job offer with them and is trying to decide whether or not to accept it, please feel free to email me with any specific questions you might have based on an employee perspective. TTFN!

For those using (gasp) dial-up or satellite connections...
I was wondering what your experience has been and what companies you work for.  I know, both connections are less than desirable, but I really want to live out in the middle of nowhere! LOL.  I currently use a cable high-speed connection and have used a DOS system in the past but would just like to hear about others experiences and what companies you work for.  I am also considering having an office in town to work from, so if anyone has gone this route I would like to hear your experiences also.  Please feel free to email me.  Thanks!
