full-time, employee status.  Lots of ESL, but I definitely could do better if I buckled down and focused more.

11,000 a week - do u mean pay period??
x
11,000 lines per 2 week period. nm

Comment about 2-week pay period
When I worked at the hospital, we could work over 40 hours one week out of 2, as long as our total for the 2-week pay period was less than 80 hours.  I used to work 7 nights straight, off 2, on 3, off 2.
$900 ppd is not going to cut it with me. I made a heck of a lot more than that in a 2-week period.
are having problems reaching that magical number (from prior posts). I can't live on $1800 a month, that is LOW PAY!
Most companies have a 2 week training period and if meeting
production and QA one can opt out of it early.
6000 lines per pay period (2-weeks) and 20 hours per week that is
Just clarifying.
If you get sent home in a week, you're lucky, SM
I considered applying for an MT home-based job for a local hospital in my town. They wanted me to work in-house 8-5 for FOUR TO SIX MONTHS, even though I have 10+ years of experience and worked there several years ago, so was familiar with the docs. No thanks, especially with 2 kids at home that would need day care to the tune of $750 or so per month. I passed (the money wasn't great anyhow, but the insurance was pretty decent).

I do hear that in some parts of the country, there are still some good home-based jobs. Unfortunately, more and more hospitals seem to be either going the ASR route or outsourcing.
I work 12 hr/day, 6 days/week, and my take-home pay - sm
comes out to around $6.50/hour. Is that about in the same ballpark as what you're making, and if so, how can your employees afford to work for you for less than that?
I got a travel mug! I work at HOME. I drive 10 miles a week. I don't drink coffee. Sheesh! lo

In the early days, MedQuist said working at home was a benefit, therefore at-home sm
employees did not receive as many benefits as those working in-house.  As I believe, it was something like at-home employees got 3 days off a year versus 10 days for the in-office employees -- WHAT?!!!  I told them it made no sense to me, since by working at home I was saving them money -- no need to provide office space, equipment, references, utilities, etc. -- yet I get shafted.  I was only part-time when they took over the previous company with their great policies, and I told them to kiss where I can't.
part-time IC is 5000/pay period and full time IC is 10,000 per pay period. Need to talk with
recruiter about cpl, I'm sure it varies with experience.
Full time with Transtech is both. 40 hours per week and 5500 lines per week.
x
Nope .. email on 1/18 promised "within the next week." Here we are, 1 week later and no info.
x
The minimum is 5500 per week, NOT 6600 per week. I think you made a typo. :)
NM
i clear over 800 a week, 40/week; 30+ year experience. (nm)

I get my paycheck every week - that is enough for me! Happy MT week everybody! nm

I got laid off for MT Week. Happy MT Week to me!

Good last week - Slow this week.
I hope this is not an indication of things to come.  I am getting 1,200 lines a day but it is taking me all day to do it.  We seem to be out of work from 9-12 every day this week.  Hope things pick up after Labor Day.
Well, you can tell it is the last day of the pay period.
:
16,000/pay period
This is for 2 weeks, correct? You are able to transcribe 8,000 line per week; I can only currently do 6,000
You can always tell the end of the pay period is near.
:
That would have been $73.53 less than MQ last pay period for me n/m

About $9/pay period or you can use yours
/
Per pay period?
xx
PAY PERIOD
12,000 LINES PER PAY PERIOD OF 15 DAYS, NOT PER WEEK, AND THAT IS ABOUT RIGHT
but pay period
It is like 9500 lines for part time and 12,500 lines for full time per bimonthly pay period
I do 16K to 20K every pay period sm
These last 3 weeks have been terrible for work load. I cleared 16,000 for this pay period, but it cost my body. I worked evenings helping out when there was too much work and and had to hunt and peck during my shift. It was Spring Break and anyone who does much acute care will tell you, work is SLIM during that time. I still got my lines, however.

Regularly, and I work 1st shift, I get about 1500 to 1650 WITHIN my shift. I don't have a lot of normals, but I have an outstanding expander. I am reaching for 18K every 2 weeks, but I am not quite there. I have not been with the company 90 days yet, I am new.

No , only about 10.00 a pay period
nm
not $50 per pay period ... sm
What she meant was, the computer is a $300 deposit, it is taken out over 6 payperiods at $50 per pay period. After that, there is no fee for the computer and if you leave and they get their computer back, you get your $300 back. just wanted to clarify.
End of pay period!
That's the way it always is. MTs don't make their line count so it waits until the end of the pay period and then they gouge what's there. It's not right but that's what happens.
10,000 by the end of the pay period - sm
so it does not matter how much you do a day, they just want 10,000 lines in the period for FT, 5,000 for PT. I have assigned accounts though, so no pool, I do what comes in on a daily basis, always of 10,000 lines usually about 12-13,000, but some of that is edit at .03 a line.
Must be end of MDI pay period
Little to no work in my primary.
16 hours a week or 8 a week and get
401 K.
Then you weren't there for the last pay period which should be DD on the 5th and was not done unt
x
It's $20 per month, not per pay period.

7 or 8 cpl, period, forever. nm
x
With JLG, You pay $12/pay period for overnight. nm
x
Family is about $240 or so a pay period
Including dental and vision.
she said period v. semicolon

Period v. semicolon.  Comma should be here or there or not.

How common is Pay Period at net 30?
Was made offer to start with a company, have to work 30 days, then pay is net 30!  That's 2 months without income.  How common is this?  I  know they're are not going to pay until they get paid.  Yikes!
How do you do this Jo? In an 8 hour period? I believe you, just want to know How!
I am with Keystrokes and I can't do it. Hats off to you. What platform? I have seen fast typists do this before.
No holiday. It's the end of the pay period sm

Nearly always low the Monday beginning the new pay period. Never fear, we'll be buried by Wednesday again.

11,000 lines per pay period. nm

It's important to ask if you will have 20,000 a pay period
xx
it says 64 dollars a pay period, below
nm
Do they still move the end of the pay period whenever they like.
They weren't bad to work for but that drove me crazy. I had it in my mind that the end of the pay period was on Sunday so I would work my schedule around that. So say on Friday I would think, Great, 2 more days on this pay period just to find out they were cutting it off on Saturday. I believe this was some bizarre attempt to be able to make payroll by cutting the pay periods short. I could understand if it was once or twice but it happened too many times and I find that made me nervous and wondering why you would changes pay periods so quickly without real notice. The company I work for now has their pay period dates set in stone for the whole year so I know exactly when the pay period ends and when I get paid.
Is that $12,000 per pay period or 12,000 keystrokes

I had no idea the QA period was your
testing period and that they would oust you if you didn't do well.  Glad I did okay.
After probation period
The first year you get 3.5 days.  After 1 year you get 10 days.
Not true for me. I do 300 LPH but not over 10,000/period. SM
It is certainly NOT their intent to give us a bonus raise, although no MT company would do that these days.
I type 15,000 a pay period

I work 7-hour shifts and I range no less than 1500 lines a day.
