I have no idea what you are talking about as in social club. I also have no idea what your problem is. Yes in certain ways being an IC means I am my own employer, especially as the IRS is concerned. However, if I am rude to the people with whom I have a contract and state left and right I can't work this day and I can't work that date or just don't bother showing up during the times I am scheduled to work, they can cancel my contract at any time.
All I was trying to do was explain to my fellow MT that as an IC, Focus is extremely courteous when you state/ask, however you choose to phrase it, that you are unable to work on a particular date. If I am sick or need to go to a doctor's appointment they say I hope you feel better. If it is a vacation/holiday/anniversary whatever they say Congratulations or enjoy yourself. If I was not so courteous to them I don't know whether they would be so courteous to me.
So in summary, yes Focus is a good company to work for. My advice is to be courteous at all times as that is how professionals behave.
